Birkdale United Under 14′s Girls football team played host to Town Green at Bedford Park, in Southport today.

The game started at a relentless pace and unfortunately it was Birkdale who never made the best of their chances that they created. Chance after chance was either wide or saved byÂ the Town Green keeper.

The Under 12′s girls were at their home ground of Bedford Park, Birkdale for their third game in successionÂ but,Â this game best forgotten although the score was rather generous to the visiting side, Birkdale took the lead through Allitt, but a late second half slump let the visitors take the points.
