Under 9′s Fun Day January
February 2nd, 2009 by adminBirkdale United Under 9′s went into the second Under 9′s Fun Day full of confidence. The girls have been working very hard with Manager Peter since the last Fun Day and have improved dramatically over the last months.
Birkdale United vs. Aspull 1-0
 The girls played really well in their first game against Aspull, they created plenty of chances but were unfortunate not score more.
Birkdale United vs. T.M.S 1-0
 A close game with limited chances on goal, but the girls managed to get the winner which was well deserved after all their effort.
Birkdale United vs. Wigan Athletic 1-3
   The girls knew this would be a hard game, but after conceding a goal straight from the kick-off the girls picked themselves up from this setback. The girls pushed forward for a equaliser and luckily managed it, but it was only when they continued to press for the winning goal got caught on the break twice in a game they never deserved to lose.
Birkdale United vs. The Fillies 0-0
 A very close game but neither side really created any chances, the girls who played in this game did a fantastic job.
Birkdale United vs. Euxton 3-0
  The final game of the day, the girls knew the could finish top of the group if they won this game. The girls played some of their best pass and move football, and were rewarded with three excellent goals to finish top of the group with T.M.S
Peter would like to thank all the girls who played, their effort was fantastic, and all the parents for their continued support. We will be looking forward to the next fun day in March.
