Girls enjoy Cup Final Success
May 16th, 2009 by adminThe first day of the West Lancashire Girls League Cup Finals brought success and three great performances from the club’s teams. The Under 11′s North kicked events off with an impressive 3-1 victory over Crosby Stuart – their closest challengers in the league this season.
The Under 12′s then followed this up with a hard-fought 1-0 win over a resolute Golborne side. (Click on image)

Unfortunately, and despite an excellent performance, the Under 13′s were unable to overcome League Champions Crosby Stuart, losing by a slightly harsh 4-1.
All three teams played superbly and were a real credit to the club. Well done to you all, and good luck to those teams involved in finals tomorrow.

Well done U12 girls on your cup double. A great achievement – we are all really proud of you for the hard work you put in over the two days. It has been a pleasure coaching you this year.

Well done U12 girls, conditions where not ideal, but you all worked extremely hard and came away victorious in both games. Your first Cup Double of many to come (we hope). We are all so proud of you, keep up the good work and look forward to a great next season.
