Redgate Black (6) Birkdale Eagles (1) |
The venue today was Redgate school, Formby. The boys were there early, eager to get the three points. They were up for it. Rawling was in top form - he was going to take no nonsense of anyone especially the manager, he was in no mood for cuddles. Ankers was to make his debut for birkdale, we had paid a record transfer fee for this lad. Well done, great start. Allen was in fine form in defence and upfront, pleasure to watch. Pritchard had a couple of chances on goal in the first half. Keep your head up, you’re a brilliant player. You’ll get there mate.
Woods burst the net with a twenty-five yard free kick, what a crowd pleaser. Awwwwwsome. Shaw made some outstanding saves, don’t know what we would do without you - what a player. Rawling – the one with the blonde hair played his part at the back and as striker, congrats and well in. Parker played all over the pitch and covered a lot of ground for his team mates –  outstanding.(There was an off the ball incident when Ankers fell over in the middle of the park, the referee had missed it.) Sorry, I missed it too.
Score in the second half 1-1. Great performance men, well done to everyone involved.

Well done lads, we will get there, we’ve got years ahead of us …. enjoy the journey…………….
